BANANA NUT MUFFIN



Muffins - there are aplenty of recipes available. I've seen many of my blogger frenz did their muffins, with different flavours too! I noticed the difference between cakes and muffins is that in muffins, oil is used or preferred instead of butter. A healthy choice too if you use corn, canola or olive oil. I actually did a simple Muffin based on a recipe in Chef Anuar's cook book. However, I made some modifications to suit my taste bud.




Here's the original recipe and the modifications I made in bracket.


MUFFIN PISANG
Bahan-Bahan
150 ml minyak (I used canola olive oil)
150 ml susu segar
150 gm gula kaster
100 gm telur (size of abt 2 small eggs)
sedikit esen pisang (I used 1 tsp vanilli instead)
250 gm tepung gandum (I used multi-purpose flour)
15 gm serbuk penaik (I used 1 tsp baking powder)
80 gm pisang masak yg dilecek

Additional Ingredients I Added :
50 gm cream cheese (diced or pinch into small cubes or pieces)
80 gm hazelnuts/walnuts
60 gm of banana (diced)
50 gm chocolate bar (diced)

Cara :
1) Campur minyak bersama susu segar, gula kaster, telur dan vanilli. Kacau hingga sebati.
2) Masukkan tepung yg telah diayak bersama baking powder. Kacau lagi hingga rata.
3) Masukkan pisang lecek dan kacau.
4) Akhir sekali, masukkan cream cheese, hazelnut/walnut dan diced banana. Gaul rata.
5) Tuangkan adunan muffin ke dalam acuan muffin atau cupcakes dan bubuh diced chocolate di atasnya.
6) Bakar selama lebih kurang 25- 30 minit sehingga masak dgn suhu abt 180 - 190 darjah Celsius.

My observations : This muffin will taste even better if a little salt is added in order to bring out the flavour and aroma. I'll definitely will put a pinch of salt in my next tryst.

nak menyampok, boley kan? kakmOn kalo wat muffin suka guna tepung naik sendiri; mother's choice brand, kalo guna tepung tu mungkin rozzan tak perlu tambah garam. Memang tepung tu works perfect wif muffins n scones, tapi sayangnya brand tuh dah semakin pupus skrg :(

btw choc fountain tu insya allah kalo sempat kita update n3 ptg ni ;)

KakMon, saya mmg pernah terbaca resipi muffin yg gunakan self raising flour. Akan saya cuba next time.
Anyway, kakmon, tuhari saya pi kedai Phoon Huat. Dia tunjukkan gambar chocolate fountain pd saya. Bila saya mintak tunjuk choc fountain yg realnya dan tanya berapa harganya, sales asst tu bilang ...heheh kita tak ada jual, gambar jerr!!! Sigh... nantilah, saya cuba tanyakan kat kedai lain, Insya'allah yer.

W'salam Siti. Sometimes Im just plain lucky. Buku2 camni jarang kita dapat beli di toko-toko. Sewaktu ke perpustakaan tempohari, kebetulan buku ini ada dirak buku. So, apalagi, saya teruslah capai dan pinjam.....heheh, buku pinjam arrr.

rozzan fountain tu beli online 3x lebih murah dr kedai kat bonai. Tu ler nak survey kut2 dSpore lebih murah dr tempat kita. Lagipula ade angin kencang org nak bawak menyukat jalan orchard to scott :p

siti > Cubalah cari kat perpustakaan nasional cawangan Hougang Central. Kalau buku tu ada satu jer, tunggulah nanti abg pulangkan dulu K!

Thumbs up for your wonderful website. This is the first time I'm leaving a comment though.
Chef Anuar is a friend of mine..unfortunately, being a very busy man, dia tak sempat nak surf website mcm kita2 ni.
He's very flattered that his book has been of good use. Kat Msia, buku dia ada dijual at major bookstores. Chef Anuar pesan, if u still can't find the book at the stores,boleh contact Berita Publishing S/B and place an order.

aduhh sedap sekali jadinya mufin bro..btw nabia dah lama beli buku chef anuar nih ms bercuti kt JB..x mencari..tp bila dok belek2 kt rak tu ada..n usha punya usha menarik sgt tgk step by step cara chef buat kek..mufin..roti..tu yg berkenan terus amik..murah pula tu..only RM15.90 if i'm not mistaken..first class!RECOMMENDED!

Insya'allah, satu hari nanti bila free, nak pi JB kjp, & cuba cari kalau2 ada buku2 tokoh masak sprti chef Anuar. Maybe ada dijual kat kedai2 buku di City Square kot!

Alahai...Nabialishad. Kira-kira saya ni 'ketinggalan bas' yer! Dah lama Nabialishad miliki buku chef Anuar ni eh.. You tau lah kekadang tu buku2 masak Melayu dari seberang tak semua ada di pasaran Singapura. Mentelah lagi, ramai pula tokoh2 masak dari seberang yg hasilkan buku. So, when I come across books like chef Anuar at the library, it's like.. "bestnya! kat mana nak beli eh?"

No problem Bro Rozzan. Ni ada lagi satu pesanan from Chef Anuar (sejak bila pulak I jadi posmen dia ni...): for the first recipe in the book (tat epal kismis), the correct measurement for the tepung serba guna should read as 310g instead of 31g. Printing error. Please take note ye.

p/s : if any of you have tried the recipe without success, now u know where u've gone wrong.

I dah byk kali jenguk blog bro rozzan ni tapi baru kali ni teruja nak bg comment.

Actually regarding Chef Anuar's book, memang laku mcm goreng pisang panas coz semua resepinya menjadi bila kita buat & sangat mudah untuk follow step by step resipi bergambar yang disertakan. Tak rugi beli buku ni i tell u. Harga cuma RM 14.90. Kata Chef if beli kat Berita Publishing di Taman Desa, Jalan Kelang Lama, Kuala Lumpur (5 min drive from Midvalley MegaMall) boleh dapat diskaun sket.may be around 10%.

Latest info tentang Chef Anuar, he'll be launching his 2nd book during Book Fair 2008 di PWTC. I'm not sure bulan brapa but just tunggu iklan Pesta Buku di tv / newspaper ok.

GOOD NEWS bagi sesiapa yang berminat nak join Kelas, "Hands-on Kek Dan Pastri Chef Anuar" boleh emailkan nama untuk book tempat.Very limited places so HURRY UP!!!!!

Belajar buat kek dan deco kek, cookies dan roti.Resipi original yang mudah dipraktikkan ciptaan Chef Anuar sendiri.
