1 RAMADHAN 1429

Hari ini umat Islam (khususnya di Singapura, Malaysia, Indonesia) memulakan ibadah puasa yg sememangnya dinanti-nantikan. Mengapakan tidak? Bulan yang Allah telah menjanjikan banyak pahala bagi kita semua umatNYA. Siang hari berpuasa, malam bertarawih, bertaddarus dan bersolat sunat pada dinihari. Pucuk pangkalnya, setiap ibadah sunat diberi ganjaran pahala sama seperti ibadah wajib dan ibadah wajib pula berlipat-kali ganda pahala yg menanti.

Di Singapura, lazimnya solat terawih diadakan di masjid-masjid. Namun ada juga kawasan perumahan yg belum terdapat masjid atau masih dlm proses pembangunan, solat terawih diadakan di kolong2 flat. Kebanyakan masjid-masjid mengadakan solat tarawih ini sebanyak 20 rakaat dgn witir manakala ada yg mengadakan sebanyak 8 rakaat saja. Terpulanglah kepada individu.

Pada puasa hari pertama ini, saya & famili berbuka ringkas jer. Hidangan lauk ayam masak lemak cili padi, sambal tumis bebola ikan & tahu, kacang ikan bilis goreng & sayur kobis menjadi pilihan. Tapi, pic sayur tak snap heheh.. At the same time, saya juga share pic juadah puteri salat yg saya buat dua hari yg lalu.

    Its been a while since I leave my prints here, I have started my own cooking blog too..err days before the Ramadhan (I guess better late than never?)! Your site has been very ispirational to me, you are so unpretentious in your writings that you motivate people who are 'kitchen-shy' (or the crude word is - tak terror masak?) like me.
