Kalau nak lebih baik, gunakan santan pekat yg diperah sendiri. Maybe 2 biji kelapa utk dptkan 1kg/liter santan pekat. Lagi satu tak boleh selalu2 kacau, sekali2 jer. Ini agar santan tu dapat memekat dan "curdle up" menjadi tahi minyak tu. Its quite simple but a little time-consuming coz api takleh besar- sederhana je. Perlu dikacau sekali sekala agar tak hangus/hangit. The santan will curdle up and you need to keep on stirring once in a while. Slowly the curdled-up mixture will disassociate with the remaining liquid- that's how you get minyak kelapa.
